In her third interview with Virginia Beehn, Alice Teisan informs listeners of how HWI has moved its focus from bikes to trikes. With the help of Kevin Nikolich, the HWI team has been able to develop three hand pedaled tricycle models to aid those who are physically disabled from the waist down. Teisan talks about Global and International trikes, as well as National bike projects.

“Your disability benefits have been terminated.” In this detailed segment, Alice Teisan recalls receiving the devastating news that she would no longer receive disability benefits despite her struggle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. In her second interview with Virginia Beehn, on WJCH Family Radio from Joliet, Illinois, Alice Teisan informs listeners of the progress HWI has made since its inception in 2005. This includes working with 108 different volunteers, a partnership with World Relief DuPage, and the distribution of 127 bicycles of which 20 were repaired by a Glen Ellyn Boy Scout troop.
